The Legislation, Communications, and Disclosure Branch is comprised of three units:
The Office of Legislative Analysis (OLA) monitors proposed tax legislation, coordinates the Division’s response to proposed legislation, and assists in the implementation of new State tax laws. The Office evaluates the potential administrative, fiscal and policy implications of proposed legislation.
New Laws Impacting the Division
The Office of Taxpayer Communications (OTC) manages the Division’s public-facing communications content. It directs the creation of forms, instructions, schedules and worksheets as well as content for public and internal web pages, social media platforms, and publications. OTC’s strategic goal is to make it easy to understand and comply with New Jersey tax laws and regulations by ensuring all stakeholders have access to necessary information.
The Disclosure Officer and staff are the point of receipt for OPRA (Open Public Records Act) requests by reviewing, researching, and preparing the Division’s responses.
